Pasadena, Los Angeles County
The Rose Bowl was built in 1922 in the Arroyo Seco, on the west side of Pasadena. The city owns the stadium, which seats about 90,000 and hosts the Rose Bowl Game each New Year's Day. The game grew out of the Tournament of Roses, whose flower-covered parade has rolled down Colorado Boulevard since 1890.
